2002 Rhino Records/WQED Pittsburgh 4-CD box set (Augmented in this particular release by a fifth, live bonus CD with twelve additional tracks!), featuring a total of 102 selections with the following disclaimer: "No one collection could ever hope to include every single soul music hit. The compilers of this [box set used their solid and sound judgment in creating what comes close to being an overall guide to some of the very best [soul recordings from the `60's and `70's." The packaging features the 4 CD's, each housed in its own jewel case within a standard vertical box (with the bonus CD in a separate sleeve!), which also holds a separate thirty-six page booklet with track and technical information, numerous photos of some of the represented artists from both the Michael Ochs Archives and Pictorial Press, and liner notes by Ben Edmonds and David Nathan (2), as well as discographical annotation by Reggie Collins. (There are additional, non-standard credits included in the booklet, and track 2-12 is misspelled as "Seesaw" throughout the packaging -- this error has been maintained in the Tracklisting section as per [g1.7.3.)
