Limited pressing of 2000 copies A very limited amount sold were signed by Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, and James Iha. “The Rubano Tapes Vol. 2” features 18 songs of never before heard versions of future SP classics and as was often the case in the band’s early years, songs performed but once. Of note, most of the recordings, culled from these 60 tapes, were done with 2 microphones in the open air of a club or rehearsal space offering fans a unique opportunity to place themselves in the crowd when The Smashing Pumpkins took the stage some 30+ years ago. These original tapes have been digitally processed to the highest standards and have been mastered by mastering legend Howie Weinberg.
